Then, the skin around the new opening of your belly button will be carefully sutured to keep your belly button in place. Once healed, this small incision will be almost completely unnoticeable since it will be covered by your belly button.

Sometimes, the belly button does not even have to be touched. If you have a minor amount of loose skin or are only concerned about a small pooch below the belly button, a small incision will be made and everything is repaired through this cut. This eliminates the need to tighten and move the skin that lies over the belly button.

Recovery
