As we age, our skin can become lax, leading to fine lines and wrinkles, deep creases, thinning lips, sunken cheeks, loss of facial volume, and more. While many patients turn to a surgical facelift to address these issues, some do not wish to undergo a surgical procedure or are not yet ready to commit to a facelift. These people can often benefit from a non-surgical facelift, which is a combination of minimally invasive and/or non-surgical treatments to refresh their appearance.
The benefits of a non-surgical facelift include:
Healthy individuals who wish to combat signs of aging for a more youthful appearance can often benefit from a non-surgical facelift. Those who do not have any health conditions that could hinder healing and have realistic expectations for the outcome of their procedure are often ideal candidates. Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have been diagnosed with bleeding problems, or have a history of keloid scarring should not undergo this treatment. Please contact our office today to schedule a consultation to learn if this treatment is right for you.
This procedure is highly customized to meet each individual patient’s needs. A non-surgical facelift may be achieved by using a combination of the following:
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore volume under the skin. These are often used to add youthful volume to the cheeks, lips, under the eyes, and near the temples. It can also be used to soften the look of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Depending on the filler used, results can last from six months to one year.
Botox is an injectable treatment that works by softening the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles. It is most often used to smooth forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet for a more youthful appearance. Results can last from 3-5 months.
To achieve fat injections, fatty tissue is collected through liposuction from one area of the body and inserted into specific areas of the face. These fat cells will integrate with existing tissues for long-lasting results.
If you received dermal fillers or Botox during your non-surgical facelift procedure, there is little to no downtime required. We do advise that you avoid excessive exercise, alcohol consumption, and sun exposure for 12-24 hours after treatment for the best results. If you received fat injections, you may need to take some time off of work, depending on the nature of your job. Usually, it takes one week to recovery from large fat transfers. Overall, we will provide you with instructions regarding recovery and how to obtain the best possible results.
