What is a Daddy Makeover?
You may have heard of a procedure called the mommy makeover before, which is popular among women to restore their bodies following pregnancy. While men do not birth their children, raising kids and starting a family can definitely take a toll on a man?s body. A daddy makeover is a full-body makeover after weight gain or aging to help restore a more youthful body contour.

The Procedure
Before your daddy makeover, you may be asked to adjust your current medications, stop smoking, or avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs that can increase bleeding.
Because a daddy makeover is highly individualized, the process will be different for each patient. This procedure can be performed using IV sedation or general anesthesia and your surgeon will choose the best one for you. Next, the chosen surgeries will take place to help recontour the body and eliminate excess skin, tissue, and fat for a slimmer, more youthful appearance. Incisions will be closed using sutures and/or surgical tape.
Recovery
Following your daddy makeover, you should let your body rest for proper healing. You will need to wear special compression garments to wear to reduce swelling and support your new body contours. Most people need about two weeks off of work for recovery, depending on the nature of their job. Exercise should be avoided for at least six weeks. We will provide you with specific instructions regarding how to properly care for your surgical sites and when you can return to regular activities.
