Brazilian Butt Lift

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Do you feel that your backside is disproportionate to the rest of your body? If so, a Brazilian butt lift is an effective solution to add volume to the buttocks. This procedure uses fat transfer to augment the shape and size of the buttocks. Because it does not require the use of implants, the results of this procedure look and feel more natural.

A Brazilian butt lift can:

  • Enhance overall body proportions.
  • Add fullness to the buttocks.
  • Give you an aesthetically pleasing shape.

Candidates for a Brazilian Butt Lift

If you would like to improve the size and shape of your buttocks without implants, have adequate fat stores in other areas of the body to inject into the buttocks, and have good skin tone, you may be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift. However, this procedure is not ideal for lifting loose skin on the buttocks. If you are concerned regarding lax skin on the buttocks or thighs, a thigh lift may be a better option. Please contact us today to schedule a consultation to learn more about candidacy.

The Procedure

The Brazilian butt lift procedure is achieved in three steps. First, fat is collected from the hips, abdomen, lower back, thighs, or other areas using liposuction. Then, this extracted fat is purified and prepared to be transferred into the buttocks. The fat is then injected into specific points on the buttocks to improve shape and volume.

Recovery

Following this procedure, you may experience some swelling and discomfort, which can be controlled with prescription medication. You will not be allowed to sit or lie directly on your buttocks for about two weeks to ensure optimal results. Instead, you will have to sleep on your side or stomach. Your surgeon will instruct you on when you can start sitting on a “donut” seat or using a pillow under your thighs. You can typically resume normal sitting after about eight weeks. Light daily activities can usually be resumed after one week, and most people can return to work after two weeks.

The results of a Brazilian butt lift are meant to be long-lasting, though significant weight fluctuations can affect your results. The best way to maintain optimal results is to keep a stable weight.
