Do you feel that your backside is disproportionate to the rest of your body? If so, a Brazilian butt lift is an effective solution to add volume to the buttocks. This procedure uses fat transfer to augment the shape and size of the buttocks. Because it does not require the use of implants, the results of this procedure look and feel more natural.
A Brazilian butt lift can:
If you would like to improve the size and shape of your buttocks without implants, have adequate fat stores in other areas of the body to inject into the buttocks, and have good skin tone, you may be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift. However, this procedure is not ideal for lifting loose skin on the buttocks. If you are concerned regarding lax skin on the buttocks or thighs, a thigh lift may be a better option. Please contact us today to schedule a consultation to learn more about candidacy.
The Brazilian butt lift procedure is achieved in three steps. First, fat is collected from the hips, abdomen, lower back, thighs, or other areas using liposuction. Then, this extracted fat is purified and prepared to be transferred into the buttocks. The fat is then injected into specific points on the buttocks to improve shape and volume.
Following this procedure, you may experience some swelling and discomfort, which can be controlled with prescription medication. You will not be allowed to sit or lie directly on your buttocks for about two weeks to ensure optimal results. Instead, you will have to sleep on your side or stomach. Your surgeon will instruct you on when you can start sitting on a “donut” seat or using a pillow under your thighs. You can typically resume normal sitting after about eight weeks. Light daily activities can usually be resumed after one week, and most people can return to work after two weeks.
The results of a Brazilian butt lift are meant to be long-lasting, though significant weight fluctuations can affect your results. The best way to maintain optimal results is to keep a stable weight.

Grafted fat, jut like native fat can be removed in just about any area in which it has been placed. The one location where removal can be challenging is when fat has been placed too superficially and has created a visible ridge in the dermis.
Every surgery comes with risks, but the BBL is particularly controversial due to accounts of death associated with the surgery. A 2017 report surveyed 692 surgeons from around the world and found that 3% (about 21) of them experienced a patient death following a BBL.
The reality is that a freeze fat away at home solution is too good to be true. The only cooling technique approved by the FDA to freeze fat away is by a brand called Zeltiq that creates the CoolSculpting machine. Any tools for “freezing the fat” or “CoolSculpting” at home are imitations not by the Zeltiq brand.

Fat transfer works by “borrowing” fat from one part of the body and moving it to another. Liposuction is used to remove fat from any area of the body where there is an undesired amount of fat. Commonly, patients request that fat be removed from the abdomen, flanks and thighs, but any area can be a donor site.
When you gain weight, fat cells increase in size and volume. In turn, liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in a specific area. The amount of fat removed depends on the appearance of the area and the volume of fat. The resulting contour changes are generally permanent — as long as your weight remains stable.
Your butt and the areas we took fat from will probably be bruised after your procedure. This will fade within a week or two and its completely normal. You might also be a little sore (dont worry, the pain is fairly minimal).
The results of your Brazilian butt lift are semi-permanent. Due to the fact that your fat cells change over time, its impossible for your procedure to deliver a truly permanent outcome.
Risks of BBL surgery include: Bruising, Stretch marks, Infection, Blood clots, Excessive blood loss, Cardiac and pulmonary complications, Deep vein thrombosis, Fat embolism (injected fat moves into the bloodstream and travels to the lungs)
Fat transfer to the face may cause complications such as lumps, puffiness, infection, and bleeding. Vision abnormalities, including blindness, may occur in rare instances. In rare cases, fat transfer to the face can block oxygen supply to the brain, resulting in a stroke.
Most patients are fully healed in about two to six months after the surgery. Inflammation and discoloration would have diminished during this time. A year after the surgery, the patient may expose the treated areas to sunlight.
When can I sit after BBL? The majority of patients are advised to refrain from sitting, lying, or otherwise putting direct pressure on their backside for a minimum of 2 – 4 weeks following BBL surgery.
Fat transfer breast augmentation is a surgical procedure in which a surgeon takes fat from one part of your body and uses it to make your breasts bigger. The surgeon will remove the fat using liposuction and then inject it into your breasts.
Post-surgical scarring is a common concern among patients undergoing liposuction and fat transfer. Fortunately, the procedure does not cause much scarring when patients listen carefully to their plastic surgeon and follow their recovery instructions.
It will take approximately six months for your final fat grafting results to become apparent. However, once the final results have become apparent, they will last for the rest of your life. Your body will not grow new fat cells to replace those removed from the donor area

Butt injections often last up to two years.
However, you can realistically expect to maintain 60-70% of the fat transferred into your buttocks for many years when you take the proper steps to maintain your results. Often, Brazilian butt lift results can potentially last for decades without the need for a follow-up treatment.
It typically takes 4-6 hours. The reason for the increased length of time, is that the fat must be harvested carefully and must be prepared for re-injection, then slowly and meticulously re-injected to create an aesthetic, natural appearance.
Patients generally can resume normal daily activities a few weeks after surgery and start fully enjoying their new BBL results in about 6 – 8 weeks. Once the injected fat has achieved a viable blood supply, they act just like other cells in the body and can last for several years, even decades
